Masai women are extraordinarily strong: they build homes, chop trees for firewood, crush stones, walk seven hours a day to fetch water. They are beautiful and joyful, but unfortunately, they are married off at very young age and most of Maasai women have no access to education. This painting shows the enriched beauty of Maasai women. During our stay in Tanzania, I was always inspired by the Tanzanian women. They always wear beaded colourful jewellery which symbolizes womanhood, femininity, fertility, healing, spirituality, body shaping, and protection.
